The Barossa Vintage Festival's most prestigious wine event, the Rare & Distinguished Barossa Wine Auction, is set to excite wine-lovers around the world following the release of the 2011 Auction Catalogue. The Barossa Wine Auction, relies on the generous donation of wines from the personal museum cellars of local producers, and raises funds to support the continuation of the Barossa Vintage Festival.
Featuring some of Australia's most sought-after and iconic wines, the catalogue's 133 lots is a wine collector's nirvana - Penfolds Grange, Henschke Hill of Grace, Torbreck RunRig and Rockford Basket Press Shiraz leading the list.
Hosted at Penfolds on the morning of April 29, you can expect to see some fast and frenzied bidding for the wines, many of which are virtually unprocurable outside of the Auction. A full copy of the catalogue is available here (3.7Mb), with tickets available through Venue*Tix.
